Maverick an unorthodox or independent-minded person.  Mavericks are true hearted and authentic. Mavericks always have great intuition. A Maverick believes in their own vision and ideas for the world.  Mavericks have strong convictions and challenge the status quo.  Mavericks have incredible self-belief and chooses to see the world through their own eyes.  

I have always been someone who has the confidence to wear what I want.  That’s where “For the Unbranded Soul” comes from. You can find me in anything! Sure I have brands that I love, but I will also rock a vintage tee, and an old home-made pair cut-offs, and a ragged bandana in my hair if they make me feel good!

I encourage women to be their genuine selves! And if you love something you see on the site, but believe it’s not “YOU,” do it anyway! Surprise yourself and other people by following your Maverick Spirit, whether it be in friendships, relationships, or awesome clothes!!

Mavericks come in all shapes and sizes, but the power of their spirit and endeavor is what makes them special. Believe it or not, we all have those superpowers in us. We just need to know where to look. And when we do find them, we need to make sure we unleash them on the world-in the right outfit of course!

Now, let me introduce myself! My name is Katie Donati, and I am the owner, heart, and soul behind Kindred Maverick. I live in a small Western Pennsylvania town. The kind of town where everyones dreams of leaving, but once you do, you find yourself wishing you were back home! I started this boutique in May 2020 (thank you Rona for giving me the time to start my business), though it has been a dream of mine for years! 

This past year was a very tough year, one I would not wish for anyone. I have loved and lost. I have made lots of mistakes that I can never take back. I have been hurt by people I love and I have hurt them back. But I also had one of the best things in my life happen. All of the mistakes I made, things I’ve lost, and the heartbreak I have endured made me look at myself and truly ask if I was happy with who I was and where my life was going. And the answer was a resounding NO! And that's how Kindred Maverick was born! 

I am a Maverick and I have been since the day I was born! All of those events I went through made me look at myself and realize I was definitely not living up to my Maverick spirit. I was not being the confident, bold, original, authentic, true hearted, stubborn to a fault, fun-loving, good time, independent-minded person that I am! There are things in life that you can’t control but there are a lot that you can. So I decided that it was time to embrace my Maverick heart and follow my wild dream!  

Finally, I want to thank and give all my love to my incredible family and my very best friends for encouraging and supporting my dream!
